The indoor suspended ceiling painting line with overhead conveying system is an automated painting system used in indoor environments for efficient and uniform painting operations on various workpieces. Here is a detailed description:

1. System Composition

Overhead Conveying System : This is the core part of the painting line. It uses suspension chains or tracks to transport workpieces from one station to another. The suspension devices are typically made of steel chains or aluminum alloy tracks, which offer high load-bearing capacity and stability. Workpieces are fixed to the conveying chain with suspension hooks or fixtures, enabling continuous and stable transportation.
Indoor Ceiling Structure : To make rational use of space and maintain workshop tidiness, the conveying line is installed below the indoor ceiling. The ceiling structure usually consists of a light steel keel or aluminum alloy frame, covered with fire-resistant and moisture-proof panels. This design is not only aesthetically pleasing but also effectively prevents dust and impurities from falling onto the conveying line and workpieces, ensuring painting quality.
Painting Equipment : Along the conveying line, there are multiple painting stations, including spray booths, drying rooms, and leveling rooms. The spray booth is equipped with advanced spraying devices, such as electrostatic spray guns and automatic spray robots, which can accurately spray paint onto the workpiece surface. The drying room uses hot air circulation or infrared heating technology to quickly dry the painted workpieces, ensuring the coating's firmness and uniformity. The leveling room provides a relatively stable environment for the coating to naturally level on the workpiece surface, avoiding painting defects such as orange peel and sagging.
Automation Control System : The entire painting line is managed by a complex automation control system. This system includes a programmable logic controller (PLC), sensors, and a touch screen interface. Through preset programs, the control system can precisely control the conveying speed of the conveying line, the operating parameters of the painting equipment, and the coordinated operation between different stations. Operators can easily set parameters, diagnose faults, and monitor remotely through the touch screen interface, greatly improving production efficiency and equipment reliability.

2. Working Principle

Workpiece Hanging : First, operators hang the workpieces to be painted on the suspension hooks of the conveying line. The shape and size of the workpieces can be customized according to actual needs, but it is usually necessary to ensure that the workpieces remain stable during transportation to avoid shaking and collisions.
Conveying Process : When the conveying line is started, the suspension chain or track begins to operate, transporting the workpieces to various painting stations in sequence. During the conveying process, the conveying speed can be adjusted according to the painting process requirements of the workpieces to ensure the best painting effect.
Painting Operation : When the workpiece reaches the spray booth, the spraying equipment begins to work. The paint is conveyed to the spray gun through a high-pressure pump or pneumatic system and then sprayed onto the workpiece surface in the form of mist. The spray booth usually has a good ventilation system to discharge the exhaust gas and paint mist generated during the spraying process, protecting the environment and the health of the operators.
Drying and Leveling : After the spraying is completed, the workpiece enters the leveling room, where the paint naturally levels on the workpiece surface, forming a uniform coating. Subsequently, the workpiece enters the drying room, and the coating is dried and cured through heating equipment. During the drying process, the control of temperature and time is very critical and needs to be precisely set according to the type of paint and the material of the workpiece.
Workpiece Unhanging : After the workpiece has been dried, the painting process is completed. The conveying line transports it to the unhanging station. Operators remove the painted workpiece from the suspension hook and proceed with subsequent packaging or assembly processes.

3. Advantages

High Space Utilization : By using the overhead conveying method with an indoor ceiling structure, the vertical space of the workshop is fully utilized, avoiding the occupation of floor space and providing more room for other production equipment and material storage.
High Painting Quality : Since the entire painting process takes place in a closed indoor environment, it effectively avoids interference from external dust and impurities. At the same time, the precise operation of the automated painting equipment also ensures the uniformity and consistency of the coating, improving painting quality.
High Production Efficiency : The coordinated operation of automated conveying and painting equipment greatly increases production efficiency. Workpieces continuously flow on the conveying line, reducing the time spent on manual handling and waiting, and achieving large-scale continuous production.
Good Environmental Protection : The ventilation system in the spray booth and the exhaust gas treatment equipment can effectively collect and treat the exhaust gas and paint mist generated during the painting process, reducing environmental pollution and meeting modern environmental protection requirements.
